Not everyone is going to make it to New Orleans to take in Super Bowl LIX and if you can’t, San Diego has some incredible options to take in the big game, while also enjoying its beautiful weather. San Diego is home to craft beer, bustling bars and beachfront venues that all offer a wide variety of watch parties for fans to enjoy the big game. Whether you’re looking for a high-energy atmosphere with big screens and craft beer or a more relaxed setting with delicious food and a view of the ocean, San Diego has something for everyone. Football enthusiasts are invited to wear their favorite jerseys and join Temaki Bar: Handroll, Sushi, Sake for its inaugural Bingo Bowl event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3. The restaurant will be divided into two spirited teams – Soy Good versus Miso Hungry – with the side earning the most bingo wins crowned the Bingo Bowl Champions. Winners on the victorious team will receive mini trophies filled with complimentary sake shots, while individual bingo champions will take home a large gold trophy engraved with “Temaki Bar – Bingo Bowl Champion.” Guests can also enjoy $5 beer, wine and sake specials throughout the event.

Football and pizza fans can score big during the Big Game with Scuderie Italia’s Pizza for Life giveaway, which will award one lucky winner with one free cheese pizza every month for life. Toppings can be added for an extra cost. Attendees who dine during the viewing party on Sunday, Feb. 9 will receive one raffle ticket for the drawing. The Big Game Sunday celebration will feature a lively atmosphere, complete with front-row views of the action on large TVs in both the main dining room and the outdoor patio. Guests can dig into Scuderie Italia’s signature Italian offerings, including wood-fired pizzas, handcrafted pastas and classic appetizers.

Guests can cheer, chow down and celebrate like champions at El Chingon in the Gaslamp Quarter with a high-energy viewing party and tailgate-inspired fare, including its newly introduced chicken wings, exclusively on Sunday, Feb. 9. Available in six and 12-piece servings and priced at $11 and $19 respectively, the wings will be served with ranch, carrots and celery. Flavorful sauce and rub options include barbecue, buffalo, buffalo mango habanero and maple chipotle. Fans can immerse themselves in the football frenzy with front-row viewing action across TVs spanning the venue. 

Oxford Social Club, located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter at Pendry San Diego, will host a swanky Big Game viewing party featuring big-screen TVs, big time entertainment with music by DJ Will Plaze, big prize giveaways and big specials on food and drinks from 2 p.m. until the end of the game on Sunday, Feb. 9. Football fans can huddle up on Oxford’s plush seating while indulging in a special game day menu, including chips and guacamole, priced at $18; truffle fries, priced at $20; Buffalo chicken sliders, priced at $24; the Big Game Burger, a half-pound burger with grilled onions, American cheese, pickles, butter lettuce and secret sauce, priced at $28; crispy rock shrimp, priced at $26; the Super Roll, a deep-fried cutroll made with spicy tuna, spicy crab, yamagobo, avocado, eel sauce, kosho aioli, serrano peppers, crunchy garlic ponzu, negi and sesame seeds, priced at $30; and more.

Borrego Rooftop Kitchen + Cocktails, perched above the Gaslamp Quarter on the ninth floor of Hotel Indigo San Diego – Gaslamp Quarter, will offer a vibrant atmosphere to catch the Big Games. Guests can lounge around fire pits, soak in rooftop views and dig into game-day bites like fries loaded with carne asada, crema, guacamole, cotija cheese and pico de gallo, priced at $20; a crispydilla with white cheddar, tamarindo pork belly, chipotle salsa and spicy carrots, priced at $18; Borrego smash burger with two beef patties, shaved onion, American cheese, pickles and garlic aioli on a brioche bun with shoestring fries, priced at $22; and more. Cocktails inspired by the lush diversity and spirited essence of San Diego will also be available, with highlights like the Borrego Margarita, made with Herradura Blanco, Cointreau, prickly pear, citrus and a basil salt rim; Espresso De Olla, Locals Vodka, Malahat Spice Rum, espresso, roasted orange, cinnamon and clove; and Route Seventy-Five, made with local gin, rhubarb, lavender, chamomile, honey and Gruet Brut Rosé, all priced at $18.
