Benefitting the Actors Fund, THE PACK PODCAST launched last year. It features star-studded casts performing short audio comedies lasting 10-15 minutes each by Emmy-nominated and Drama Desk-winner Eugene Pack. New episodes are posted every Thursday, and the podcasts available for listening are sufficiently ample and varied to appeal to just about anyone.
Over the past year, performers have included Marisa Tomei, Blair Underwood, Marty Short, Stockard Channing, Annette Bening, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Eva Marie Saint, Marsha Mason, Jennifer Tilly, James Caan, and a host of other actors too numerous to mention. All the clever and amusing short pieces are spoken word radio plays. The actors record and interact from their homes worldwide from Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Toronto, Copenhagen, and London.
The Los Angeles Times called author Eugene Pack “a prodigiously gifted storyteller” – and for good reason. The creator of “Celebrity Autobiography,” which ran on Broadway and won an award for “Unique Theatrical Experience,” Eugene Pack again amasses his magical flair for telling a good story in THE PACK PODCAST. These audios are not-to-be-missed gems which will make you smile – or laugh out loud. Just the perfect entertainment when you have a few minutes to spare and demand something enjoyable and gratifying to fill that moment. If you’re a fan of using your creative imagination to fill in the blanks during an audio presentation, THE PACK PODCAST was made for you.
In honor of Halloween, THE PACK PODCAST is currently at its spookiest with “Waiting for the Exorcist” and “Scarecrows.” Both are guaranteed to bring chuckles between lots of goosebumps.
THE PACK PODCAST is available online free, and The Actors Fund gratefully accepts donations if you are so inclined. Help a good cause – with the added benefit of enjoyable professional entertainment. You can access the special Halloween and other episodes of THE PACK PODCAST online.
