Cash Cash had a crowd of stilt walkers, dinosaur suits and more jumping to the bass drops early in the day. Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians had the crowd jammin’! Closer to the start of the evening the crowd flocked to the Sunset Cliffs to catch the iconic Sheryl Crow!

The artistic genius just released her final album, “Threads,” which will feature  no fewer than two dozen guest artists. Among them are a host of legends — from Keith Richards, Mavis Staples and Eric Clapton to James Taylor, Public Enemy co-founder Chuck D and former Encinitas resident Joe Walsh, along with such and younger stars as Maren Morris, St. Vincent and San Diego’s Andra Day. She has always said that music is one of the many things that she loves, she even told the San Diego Tribune that it’s part of her DNA.

“That’s one of the arguments for my having this be my last album,” Crow said. “And that is that there is a real art form to making a fully realized artist statement with an album that has a beginning, a middle and an end. An album should flow and take you on a journey, so that — when all is said and done — you feel like you’ve been somewhere.”

“So making my ‘Threads’ album felt, to me, like a wonderful artistic statement that would be impossible to follow up,” Crow continued. Seeing  Sheryl Crow play at KAABOO was like seeing her decade legacy come to life. Before playing the crowd favorite “All I Wanna Do,” Crow gave a shout out to LA and quickly reminisced. Throughout her incredible set Crow strutted from each corner connecting with fans as she delve into all of her hits!

Grammy Award-winners Mumford & Sons closed the Sunset Cliffs stage with an incredible performance. The British folk-rock band has been topping the charts with hits for a decade and it is no surprise that they continued to draw in one heck of a crowd.

Of course they played “Little Lion Man” and “Babel” early in their set. They also did a reworked cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt,” which was a surprising addition. Lead singer and guitarist Marcus Mumford led the band through “I Will Wait” and “Delta” to end the show and put a finishing touch on KAABOO Del Mar in 2019.
