February is Restaurant Month on Chicago’s North Shore
Celebrating its 11th Year, 90+ Restaurants Offer Specials and Discounts all Month Long!
North Shore Restaurant Month is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever before! Presented by Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (CNSCVB), North Shore Restaurant Month – which runs the entire month of February – is celebrating its 11th year with the return of dozens of local favorites, as well as several new restaurants making their North Shore Restaurant Month debut!
From Friday, February 1 through Thursday, February 28, more than 90 of the North Shore’s most popular restaurants will be participating in North Shore Restaurant Month, offering a variety of specials and discounts including free appetizers or desserts, a percentage off the entire bill, prix fixe meals, 2 for 1 specials and much more.
“We are thrilled that North Shore Restaurant Month is celebrating its 11th anniversary,” said Gina Speckman, executive director of Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The culinary talent and dining options on Chicago’s North Shore are unlike any other region in the country,” she said. “Not only do we have gifted and award-winning chefs, but the diversity of the cuisine that is offered rivals any major city in the world,” she adds. “No matter what you have a taste for, you’ll find it on the North Shore!”
Among those returning to North Shore Restaurant Month 2019 are Guildhall (Glencoe), The Barn Steakhouse (Evanston), Morton’s The Steakhouse (Northbrook), North Branch Pizza & Burger Co. (Glenview), Taco Diablo (Evanston), Hearth (Evanston), Roka Akor (Skokie), Saranello’s (Wheeling), and Di Pescara (Northbrook).
Newcomers to this year’s North Shore Restaurant Month include The Boiler Shrimp & Crawfish (Skokie), Good to Go Jamaican Cuisine (Evanston), Hometown Coffee & Juice (Glencoe), CMX CinéBistro Old Orchard (Skokie), Mozu Sushi (Glenview), Fred’s Garage (Winnetka), Farmhouse (Evanston), Ten Mile House (Evanston) and Makisu Sushi (Skokie).
To help spread the word about North Shore Restaurant Month, staff members from Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau will be visiting different North Shore coffee shops throughout the month treating customers to complimentary cups of Joe. First up, to launch the month-long dining event, is free coffee at Evanston’s Cupitol on Thursday, January 31. Other coffee giveaways include Glencoe’s Hometown Coffee on Thursday, February 7, Northbrook’s Leonides on Thursday, February 14, and Glenview’s Glenview Grind on Thursday, February 21. Complimentary cups of coffee will be available from 8 am to 9 am at each location.
“Everyone is welcome to enjoy the special dining discounts and promotions offered through North Shore Restaurant Month, whether they live on the North Shore or not,” says Speckman. “While most communities offer a ‘Restaurant Week,’ ours is a full month to give people plenty of time to try something new or visit an old favorite,” she continues. “Many have told us that they plan their calendar around it, visiting several restaurants for lunch or dinner each week. And, with these offers and discounts, North Shore Restaurant Month is the perfect time to do it!”
